Once a function has been deﬁned you may call to the function for evaluation,

simpliﬁcation, or complete operations on a given function. This section is

written assuming previous knowledge with solve. For a more detailed de-

scription of the solve command, refer to subsection 3.1.4. Evaluate f(−2)

for f(x) = x

Simplify f(a) for f(x) = x

− 16 or something more interesting like expand
